Meet Chef Eric
A native of the white mountains of Arizona, Chef Eric grew up with parents who instilled his strong work ethic and love of people. As a teenager, he found his calling for the culinary arts while interning at local establishments and hotels. Prior to the start of his formal culinary education at Scottsdale Culinary Institute in 1997, Eric worked his way up from the dish pit to Lead Cook roles throughout Arizona.
Upon graduation in 1999, Eric set his sights high and obtained a position with the Ritz Carlton, Naples, FL. He worked a multitude of Chef positions throughout his 8-year tenure with the hotel group and it's through this experience that he established his benchmark on quality and unparalleled customer service.
Ambitious to grow and challenge himself, Eric found an opportunity to take on the Executive Chef role with one of the largest catering companies in Texas, The RK Group. Throughout his 8 years with The RK Group, Eric successfully transformed their culinary program bringing it to another level. During this time, Eric moved to San Antonio, TX, and also began partnering with Valencia Hotel Group to consult their food & beverage programs which included the design, development, operations, and opening of Radio Milano, Houston, TX, Oveja Negra, San Jose, CA, The George Hotel, College Station, TX, Hotel Alesandra, Houston, TX. In addition, he created the entire concept including the name, design, decor, and the menu for Number 13, Galveston, TX.
Chef Eric was then offered a Managing Partnership/Executive Chef role with Number 13. For the next five years, he personally curated the steak and seafood house into Galveston's premier restaurant destination.
After many years of working in the fine dining arena, Chef Eric has decided he is ready to have a little fun! Eric is a simple man who enjoys firing up the grill in the backyard with an ice-cold brew in hand in the company of his family and friends. He and his family love a good burger and together, they created the Good Vibes concept while relaxing in the pool. Good Vibes speaks to his readiness to live a little easier and enjoy life while still giving his guests quality cuisine with a laid-back feel. Good Vibes dishes out amazing burgers, fresh seafood, a spectacular raw bar, and much more, spreading a little coastal love to the Pearland area.
